No Regrets..

Most people don't take responsibility for their own actions, when it comes to matters of the heart most people blame "Love" and take on this "woe is me" mentality but don't take the time to actually reflect and correct what THEY'RE doing wrong.

No point going through life blaming everyone and everything else except for you the common denominator, why? because you learn nothing and end up going in circles.

Time shows that a relationship is only as strong as the foundation its built on. 
If you want something that lasts you have to take time with it.
We need to give people time to prove themselves and show you their true colours, why? because we're only human - people generally put their best foot forward, you generally don't start to see flaws till after you've seen drawers. 

Some of us got the right idea but most of us are out here doing it all wrong 





Our great grandparents set an example for us, and if you got an elder in your life it would do you good to go speak to them and get their opinion on life, and learn something.

Some Most, of our grandparents been together for years, they have real relationships that sometimes didn't start off with love but grew into it from friendship and compromise. 
But you see these movies and popular culture sell a lifestyle that doesn't even work for the ones that propagate it. Yet somehow everyone thinks the problem is with what we understand to be "Love" and not our actual Life Choices.


See my generation, we blur the lines, we try and put the cart before the horse and expect it to go whatever direction we tell it to. We're so consumed with options we lack patience to see anything through, and our friends?..man sometimes our friends don't help. 

They always mean well, but when break-ups happen they reinforce those tired lines - u know like --> 

"many more fish in the sea"

 "oh well his/her loss"

But glossing over the real issues; generally just saying whatever they think you want to hear..but yet so scared of the words you and they probably need to hear.

I don't have all the answers, but I know I owe it to myself and anyone i care about to be as real as possible, and not be a bitch about any situation in life.

I've had my heart broken, I've promised myself I would never trust again or let anyone in - I've blamed people, I've blamed situations - but in quiet moments of reflection, just me, my thoughts and memories.... I cant escape the truth. 

I've broken hearts, I've hurt people; intentionally and unintentionally.

 I've loved for the wrong reasons... I've imagined Love when it was really infatuation and Lust, I've listened to my pride more times than I'm proud of...

I've taken people who put their trust in me for granted 

....in quiet moments of reflection I come to terms with the fact that I'm not perfect and I've made many mistakes but 1 thing I do have is a choice.


I can become bitter or I can become better, I can blame the ones who hurt me or I can thank them for the memories and lessons learnt.

,..and if I truly gave my all as unselfishly as I could, if i lived, fought and loved with my heart on my sleeve?... then I have no regrets

When we start to look inwards, we get a better understanding and appreciation of ourselves, we know what to do and what not to do next time, we honestly evaluate our choices and we teach ourselves how to be wiser and stronger

But most importantly, we allow ourselves to forgive them, and we allow ourselves to move on x
